"The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World" by Gabriel Garcia (Columbia)

What this says of the literature region of Columbia is that their very creative. They honored the dead people with detail and kindness. Also that their really religious. Something else is that they are caring and kind when someone of theirs dies. Finally, that instead of being sad, they do a nice memorable celebration.
The kind of funeral I'll like for myself is a funeral with red, pink, and yellow roses and its petals all over the coffin and the place I'm going to be in. Also i want like a little "ofrenda" meaning an altar like things they do for "Day Of  the Dead". Something else i'll like in my funeral is for people to burry me away from all the other dead people like I want to have my own peaceful own place. The reason I want for all this to be like this is because I believe is something I'll like and may be unike from all the others. This is so not similar to the other funerals I've been to because their all only with like the same type of flowers and the dead person is just there. What these reveals about Latin America's attitudes toward death is that they are very celebrarive, honored their family's or people's death very nice, and they are really traditional which for me that's important. +

The type of roses I'll like for my funeral.

These are the type of flowers that get used in most funerals.

"No Dogs Bark" by Juan Rulfo (Mexico)

What this literarture says about the region it's from is that is somehow rigid. That is also at times quiet and at times noisy. Also that the nights are very dark and fresh. Something else is that the parents, especially dad's care about their children but not as much. Finally this region has a lot of dogs barking around and mostly everywhere.
I'll be the best parent. I'll love my children so much and always take good care of them. I'll help them on what they need no matter what it is and also be there for them not just as a parent but as a best friend. The way I'll deal with my teenage son or daughter well I'll try to talk to them about any problems they have and get them or buy them what they'll be needing throught school or their teenage years. If my kids misbehave as a parent I'll tell them to stop or try to say what's going on? or why are they acting that way? but I'll never try to hurt them meaning hit them because that's not going to solve the problem but it will make it worse. I would never be similar to Ignacio's dad because he was really mean and ofended Igancio bad so I believe the son felt bad but at the same time mad. Instead of being like that I'll always be positive with my children, be happy and always smile, and never make them feel bad or turned down. =)

This is part of Mexico's culture.

"Borders" by Thomas King (Canada)

What this literature says about the region is that there's a border between Canada and U.S. Also that you get stop by the police and they ask you what nationality or ethnicity you are when coming from Canada to the U.S. somehting else it says is that indian Canadians have a strong attachment to their tribe, like the one from the story which was "Blackfoot". Another thing that it might say is that kids see things from a different point of view than adults. Finally that the Canadian region is very language variety and have kind of a lot of Native American people living there.

For me I believe my nationality is more important than my ethncity. That's because I'm proud of where I come from, which is Mexico. It ain't my citizenship but mostly all of my family was born there and lives there right now. Nationality is not only citizenship but is where you get your roots and traditions from.
